Cathleen Flynn: Emotion, Feeling and Expression in Music

We were able to spend a wonderful afternoon with Cathleen Flynn, a highly sought out international composer who is currently based in Northern Ireland. Having worked in both the UK and LA America, she has developed a strong international reputation as a creative and skilled musician. She has scored a range of media projects and has been acknowledged throughout the industry for her works as an orchestrator, music/vocal arranger and editor.

Cathleen Flynn has worked on major feature films and TV series both nationally and internationally. Her works span across various other media such as commercials, trailers, documentaries, comedies, children’s programs and even apps & games. A brief mention of some of her most recent works she has produced scores for would be “Greta, My Life with Rosie, The Morning After” and “Daughter of The Bride”.

Recently invited to participate in RTE Concert Orchestra / RTE lyric fm Irish Composers recording. We were able to talk about her said experience and love for the orchestra as well as her many memorable collaborations with fellow artists.

Keep learning, keep an open mind, don't ever feel that you've come to the end of what you know, because there is always more to learn. Stay up to date with the technology and don't give up.
